D ashashwamedh Ghat is located on the banks of River Narmada.

The site is of immense historical importance. People hold the ghat in high esteem because of the legend associated with it. The entire region wears a festive look during poornima days.

It’s believed that this is exactly same place where Lord Vishnu reincarnated himself as Vamana, a dwarf Brahmin, and had measured the entire universe in just three steps.

It is most popular Ghat of Bharuch. There are a Narmada Maa Temple and one of the biggest Smasan Gruh. It is burn body after dath. there are three types of fire body, wood, Gas and Electric. this is lettest technoligy. In historical King Daxa was do yagna of Dashashwamedh so there name is Dashashwamedh Ghat.

According to the inscriptions available, it is believed that Asura king Mahabali performed 10 ashwamedh sacrifices at Dashashwamedh Ghat because of which the ghat derived its name. It is Called Dashashwamedh because 10 Ashwamedha yagnas were performed here.



Dashashwamedh Ghat

It is situated on the bank of river Narmada near Dandia Bazar. This is the place where King Mahabali performed ten ashwamedha sacrifices. It is at this place where Lord Vishnu came in the disguise of Vamana and measured the whole universe with his three steps. There are many old temples constructed on this ghat which includes Ambaji Mata Temple, Umiya Mata Temple, Narmada Mata Temple, Kotirudreshwar Mahadev, Vamana Temple and many others. One must not forget to visit this ghat at early morning hours to enjoy the spiritual peace of this place.
